I had no knowledge of this mailer until a supporter in the community called me to tell me about it. The Firefighters did not ask my permission to send this mail, and would have been violating the law if they had asked me. The mailer itself states that the flyers were not authorized or approved by me (or any other candidate), but was done by the San Jose Firefighters
